December Farm Family of the Month: Farmall Acres
Jim & Carol Bunkelman

Some families don’t just open their farm gate — they open their hearts. That’s exactly what you’ll find at Farmall Acres, home of Jim and Carol Bunkelman and their family. At Farmall Acres, no one is a stranger for long — strangers quickly become friends, and friends become family. Our visit with this hardworking dairy farm family did not disappoint, with plenty of stories and laughter shared along the way.

Farmall Acres is located just outside of Athens, where Jim and Carol raise their own   replacements and grow the crops that feed their dairy herd. The Bunkelmans proudly   hosted the 2018 Marathon County June Dairy Breakfast, welcoming thousands of visitors to   experience a working dairy farm firsthand.  Many people know the Bunkelmans from the farm, but Jim — along with   the entire family, including daughters Danielle and Alyssa — is also well known across Wisconsin and the upper   Midwest for his Full Throttle – Wide Open pulling tractor. Jim has even taken that passion north of the border, competing internationally in Manitoba. Whether it’s on the farm or at the pulls, this generous, hardworking family can always be found supporting one another and their community.

Swiderski Equipment and B104.9 are proud to recognize Farmall Acres, Jim & Carol Bunkelman, as our December Farm Family of the Month. They remind us that farming isn’t just about crops, cows, or horsepower — it’s about relationships, passion, and creating a place where everyone feels at home. Be sure to stop and say hello if you see Jim and the family at a    pull this summer, and congratulations to the Bunkelman family on this
 well-deserved recognition!
