KRAUSE 5200 PRO Series Grain Drill
The heart of every 5200 PRO Series Grain Drill is the opener. Uniform emergence and a strong plant stand begin with the precision seeding capabilities of the Krause line of grain drills featuring the exclusive Precision Residue Opener, or PRO Opener.
The integral leading gauge wheel simulates a "walking tandem" and follows uneven terrain while placing seeds at a consistent depth - especially important for small seeded crops such as alfalfa. The PRO Opener has proven to be 50% more accurate in depth control than a standard parallel link opener.
PRO openers feature a ductile iron casting and 13-1/2” double disc blades with a 5/8” staggered leading edge for increased penetration and residue cutting, providing exceptional seeding performance. Spring loaded rotary scrapers are standard equipment with a choice of press wheel options to match your soil and residue conditions to optimize seed emergence.
PRO Openers offer quick, simple, wrench-less depth adjustment by pulling back on the press wheel adjustment arm and moving to the desired depth. Increments of 1/4” are available ranging from 1/2” to 2-1/2” of seeding depth.
