	New Holland - Agriculture 98D Series Corn Head
	The 98D corn header is smooth, fast and durable. It gets under downed corn, picks it up better than the competition and takes in less trash for more combine capacity. Constructed from polyethylene The 98D corn header divider snouts are constructed of polyethylene. The slippery surface of its shields, fenders and points allow for smooth, fast feeding, so you can increase your ground speed. The polyethylene construction also absorbs impact, which means ears don't bounce out of the corn head. It will never rust, and dings and damage won't show because it's yellow all the way through. That means fewer hassles and higher resale value. Easy service and transport Without using tools, the shields on the 98C flip up and out of the way for complete servicing and easy transport. Convenient props hold the shields in place so you can work quickly and confidently. It's also easy to adjust the height of the points without tools. Tough construction The 98D features heavy-duty cast iron row unit gearboxes to drive and support the stalk rolls. The stalk rolls are heat-treated and straight-fluted for more aggressive feeding than a tapered stalk roll. Their unique two-piece cantilevered design reduces replacement costs and improves servicing. Two Stalk Roll Styles 98D Fluted Roll: In dry or diseased crop conditions fluted rolls do not cut or break the crop, which means you take less trash into the combine. New 98D Pinching Roll: The 98D pinching knives crimp and cut into the stalks for faster residue break down and are ideal for minimum till and no till customers. It replaces the 98C knife rolls option. Models available in 6-Row, 8-Row, or 12-Row with various sizes.

	99C chopping corn headers features two chopping knives for each row unit for optimum chopping and distribution of crop residue—ideal for no-till farming. Automatic controls maximize your control and minimize fatigue. Choose from four versions: • 99C 6-row • 99C 8-row • 99C 8-row folding • 99C 12-row Power-feed stalk roll chopping design consistently chops cornstalks into small segments at both fast and slow ground speeds. High-quality, self-tensioning gathering chains smoothly feed the stalks between the deck plates and towards the stalk rolls. Removal of the gathering chain is fast and easy with the gathering chain removal tool. Pinching-style, two-piece stalk roll with front bearing support and four knives efficiently pulls the stalks down, providing sustained high capacity. Hydraulic-adjust stripper plates can be adjusted from the cab to set the correct clearance for every condition. Independent gear boxes on each row unit allow you to quickly disengage the chopper on individual row units when not required to save power and reduce wear. Durable, low-profile polyethylene dividers promote smooth crop flow and reduce ear bounce at faster field speeds. The color-impregnated polyethylene construction reduces dent damage, eliminates rust, and reduces overall header weight. Gas struts on the dividers allow for easy checking and servicing of the row units. Optional rotary dividers are available for both left and right hand sides, to guide stalks in to the header in heavy or fallen crop conditions. The eight-row folding model reduces the time needed to change from field position to road transport. Simply fold over the gathering points and change to the narrow 10.8-foot transport width from your combine seat. Auto-float sensors mounted on the outer rows are available to maintain an even cutting height across the whole field.
